Empty Streets of Thessaloniki

As a photographer, I’m always looking to tell a story with my pictures.

This is a story about the second lockdown in Greece. I’m based in Thessaloniki and I want to document the changes in everyday life because of the pandemic. I’m focusing on the streets and how empty they are because of the restriction in movements. The shops are closed the parks are empty and you have to send an SMS if you want to move for a specific reason. This is a going project as the lockdown continues. Almost all my images so far are close to home in my neighborhood. I wanted to have daily access so it was easier to start local.

This is the first part of the project.
